Editorial standards

Evidence before enthusiasm.

How we separate real offers, verify conversion assets and turn structured evidence into an explainable score — without allowing commissions to influence the result.

The editorial contract

Three rules before anything gets a deal button

Public terms, personal links and brand variants are different evidence. We evaluate each independently.

01

Official sources first

Merchant help centres, terms, product pages and authenticated account screens outrank third-party summaries.

02

Distinct offers stay distinct

Different product, conditions, audience, reward, geography, expiry or referral link means a separate listing.

03

No asset, no CTA

A public partner page is evidence, not a personal conversion asset. Missing links produce an informational page.

Explainable scoring

What the AffiliaThor score actually measures

A comparison aid, not an earnings guarantee. The implementation is capped between 0 and 100 and updates with the listing data.

Source hierarchy

From claim to publishable evidence

Tier 1

Official terms

Merchant rules, help centre and legal eligibility.

Tier 2

Account evidence

Authenticated campaign screen and generated personal link.

Tier 3

Technical check

HTTP destination, redirect chain, canonical route and CTA behavior.

Tier 4

Editorial review

Offer identity, wording, score, restrictions and visible dates.

Review workflow

Five gates from discovery to publication

1

Identify

Define the exact product and commercial journey.

2

Document

Capture both-side rewards, conditions, geography and dates.

3

Validate

Check the personal link separately from public terms.

4

Publish

Enable a deal CTA only with a real conversion asset.

5

Revisit

Track last checked dates and correct stale or reported entries.

Corrections are part of the product

Material errors are corrected in the catalogue and documented. We remove unsafe CTAs rather than silently redirecting distinct offers. Compensation never creates a score bonus.
